This $13 NYC pizza is basically a cracker.
Vezzo sits on Lexington Avenue at 31st Street in Murray Hill, and it does one of my favourite thin crust pizzas in New York City. I got the Classic, just marinara sauce and cheese for $13.
The base is the entire reason to come here. It’s razor thin, dry and blistered underneath, and crisp all the way through. Hold a slice flat across your fingers and it stays level. Turn it side on and it nearly disappears.
It’s a personal pie, so it’s small. That’s worth knowing before you order. But $13 for a pizza this good is fair in Manhattan, and it’s a spot I keep coming back to.
8.5/10
