We kicked off Memorial Weekend with a hike into one of the most unique backcountry cabins in Michigan.

Tucked along the shoreline of Lake Superior inside Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the Twelvemile Beach cabin gave us a quiet place to slow down, cook dinner, listen to the waves, and spend a cold spring night off-grid.

In this video we're hiking in with our gear, settling into the cabin, cooking camp meals, exploring the shoreline, and sharing what the experience is really like in late May along Lake Superior.

This trip is part one of a larger Upper Peninsula adventure that continues with bikes, ferries, and a cabin stay on Grand Island.
