Colorful Jelly Watermelon With Homemade Boba!
✨Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 mini watermelon
• 1 package (3 oz) lime Jell-O
• 1 package (3 oz) cherry Jell-O
• 2 packets unflavored gelatin
• 1¼ cups water, divided
• ¼ cup sugar
Directions:
1. Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out the flesh, reserving the rind to use as a mold.
2. Prepare the lime Jell-O according to the package directions. Place a bowl slightly smaller than the watermelon rind inside the shell, then pour the lime Jell-O around it to form the "rind" layer. Fill the bowl with water to weigh it down, then refrigerate until set.
3. Prepare the cherry Jell-O according to the package directions. Pour a portion into mini sphere molds and refrigerate until firm.
4. Remove the cherry Jell-O spheres from the molds and place them inside the watermelon shell.
5. In a small bowl, bloom the gelatin in ¼ cup water. Heat the remaining 1 cup water with the sugar until hot, then stir in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved. Let cool to room temperature.
6. Place the smaller bowl back into the center of the watermelon, shifting the cherry spheres as needed. Carefully pour the clear gelatin mixture around the bowl and spheres to create the middle layer. Refrigerate until set.
7. Remove the bowl and pour the remaining cherry Jell-O into the center cavity to create the watermelon "flesh." Refrigerate until fully set.
8. Slice into wedges and enjoy this fun, jiggly watermelon-inspired treat!
