Don’t throw away old kitchen cabinets! In this DIY garage organization project, I’m repurposing my old kitchen cabinets and turning them into useful garage storage.
After removing my old kitchen cabinets during my kitchen renovation, I decided to give them a second life instead of sending them to the landfill. I recently installed a 36x12 over-the-fridge cabinet on one section of my garage wall, and it turned out better than I expected!
The cabinet is now helping me organize and store box screws that always seem to disappear somewhere in my messy garage. I’m also storing glue, WD-40, and other small tools and miscellaneous items that need a permanent place.
I still have more old kitchen cabinets available, and I’m exploring different ideas for using them to improve my garage storage and organization. I have wall space for one or two more cabinets, but I haven't completely decided on the best layout yet.
If you're a professional organizer, contractor, DIYer, or you've repurposed old kitchen cabinets for garage storage, I would love to hear your recommendations! Drop a comment and share your ideas for organizing a garage using old cabinets.
