A delicious Korean-inspired egg breakfast you can whip up in just a few minutes for busy mornings.
Ingredients:
1/4 yellow onion or white or red
1 mild green chilli or spicy as per your liking
1 mild red chili (or red bell pepper)
2 green onions only green parts
2 garlic cloves large
7 cups water
7 large eggs
Hot steamed rice, about 1 cup for each serving
Marinade:
1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
1/2 cup (120ml) water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar or rice vinegar
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1/2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1/4 tsp black pepper
Mix all the ingredients for Marinade then add the chopped ingredients. Mix well. Then drop the eggs.
While serving add Marinade as per ur taste and sesme oil to enhance the taste.
Tips
Let the water come to a full boil first, then gently drop in the eggs.
Cook on high flame for 6–7 minutes for perfectly soft-boiled eggs. Do not overcook.
Do not hard boil the eggs—soft boil only for the best creamy texture.Ingredients:
Serve with hot steamed short-grain rice for an authentic Korean-style experience. Avoid basmati or long-grain rice.
Ensure the eggs are fully submerged in the marinade so they absorb flavor and color evenly. Cover it with cling film and press lightly to make sure all the eggs are submerged.
Do not forget to flip the eggs after 2-3 hours when you are keeping it overnight and after 2 hours if you are keeping for 4 hours only. This will ensure it is well coated with Marinade from all sides
Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours, or ideally overnight, before serving for best results.
