How old were you when you found out a spaghetti squash turns into actual spaghetti when you bake it?

Spaghetti Squash Bolognese (serves 4)
• 2 spaghetti squash, halved and seeded
• 2 tbsp olive oil, salt and pepper
• 1 yellow onion, diced
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 lb lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
• 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
• ½–1 tsp chili flakes
• 1 jar (24 oz) marinara
• Parmesan and fresh basil to finish

1. Brush the squash halves with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and bake at 400°F for 50–55 minutes until tender.
2. While it bakes, cook the onion in a little oil for 5 minutes, then add the garlic, beef, Italian seasoning and chili flakes. Brown it, breaking it up as it cooks.
3. Pour in the marinara and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Run a fork through the squash to pull it into strands, spoon the meat sauce on top, and finish with parmesan.

The squash gives your gut bacteria fiber to feed on. Comment YES if you want more recipes like this, and subscribe so you don't miss the next one.
