SAME DAY HOMEMADE PIZZA ⬇️
If you’re tired of paying an arm and a leg for crappy grocery store pizza then this recipe is one you need to follow.
Here’s how you can make ahead a bunch of pizza crusts, then par bake them, place them into the freezer, and pull them out whenever you want a quick, much better for you, pizza pie!
Let’s get to it.
INGREDIENTS:
1200 grams water (5 cups)
10 grams active yeast (1 tbsp)
100 grams olive oil (1/2 cup)
2000 grams unbleached all purpose flour (16.5 cups)
35 grams honey (2 tbsp)
30 grams salt (1.5 tbsp)
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Combine water and yeast. Give a quick stir and let rest for a few minutes. Add in your oil and half your flour. Mix until roughly combined.
2.) Add in your honey, and remaining flour. Mix until roughly combined again, then add in your salt. Once combined, dump out onto your counter and knead until your dough is smooth. Add a tbsp of flour as needed if it’s too sticky. Should still be tacky, but not sticking to your hands or the counter.
3.) Place into a greased bowl and let rest until it doubles in size.
4.) Once doubled, weigh your dough and divide (or eyeball) into as many pieces as you want…12 = about a 12” pizza…10 = about a 14” pizza
*Preheat oven to 500°F
5.) Flour your countertop, then roughly shape your dough into a circle…I like to roll it out into a thin round circle. Pull onto your pizza peel or cutting board and poke holes all over it with a fork.
6.) Place into the oven on a pizza pan or baking stone/steel for 4-5 minutes—until the top is dry, but not browning.
7.) Repeat until all crusts are done. Allow to cool, then place into bags and freeze until you need them in the future. Simply, remove from freezer, top with sauce, cheese, and toppings, then bake at 425°F until cheese is melts and crust edges are browned.
8.) If you want to make any of the pizzas immediately, then you can skip par baking and just toss into the oven once you have your sauce and toppings added.
