One of the biggest mistakes I see in small kitchen renovations is assuming the answer is simply to make the room bigger.

In reality, it's usually about making every inch work harder.

In our Notting Hill project, every design decision had a purpose:

➡️ Make your island work harder. Rather than treating it as just extra worktop space, we designed ours to comfortably seat four, creating somewhere for family breakfasts, entertaining and everyday living without compromising circulation.

➡️ Mix closed and glazed cabinetry. Too many solid cupboards can make a kitchen feel heavy. Introducing glazed display cabinets breaks up long runs of joinery, reflects light and gives you somewhere to display beautiful crockery, glassware and styling pieces.

➡️ Hide the practical spaces. We concealed the utility room behind sliding cabinetry so it completely disappears into the kitchen.

➡️ Invest in bespoke storage where possible. A well-designed kitchen doesn't waste awkward corners or dead space. Tailored internal storage means everything has a place, helping the room stay organised and uncluttered.
