Meet The Freak Burger — a double smashburger that gets a little freaky on the flattop!
For this one, I wanted to take the classic smashed cheeseburger in a different direction. We're starting with two smashed beef patties, but one of those patties has shredded onion and shishito peppers blended right into the beef before it ever hits the hot griddle.
Both patties get smashed hard on the flattop to build that beautiful crispy crust, then they're stacked with two slices of melted American cheese.
But we're not finished yet.
